Littleton has a host of options when it comes to getting local ingredients. Whether you’re staying at a ski chalet with a kitchenette, a resort with full amenities, or something in between, pick up some local meal additions and spend time together cooking. Here are some spots to stop into to grab all the fixings you could possibly need!
First up and known for fresh, delicious canned items like jams, jellies, pickles, and vegetables is White Mountain Canning Co.! They offer items like Alpine Soup Mix, where all you have to do is add a protein (you can also just eat it as is if you’re a vegetarian), Apple Crisp Mix, which you can use to make a decadent dessert, Basil Infused Olive Oil to bring your meal to the next level, and even Chili Raspberry Jam that we suspect would pair amazingly well with brie!
To get the bulk of your ingredients, you would do well to stop by the member-owned Littleton Coop. You can easily obtain everything you want for any meal and it will be locally sourced! Produce, deli goods, and other groceries are just a stop away… oh, and they also offer craft beer and wine if you’re thirsty!
And last up is The Little Herb Shoppe. This is the place to go for relaxation and if you need to feel better after your big night. For example, pick up the Nerve Calm Bundle if you need to calm down and the After Party Bundle if you know you might have an extra glass of wine… and a possible headache to contend with.
There are many ways to enjoy the river in Littleton and there’s more nothing romantic than that kind of atmosphere. Some options include Schilling Beer Co., a European-inspired craft brewery inside the former Grist Mill, specializing in lagers and ales, the Littleton Freehouse where you can enjoy locally sourced cuisine and a wide selection of craft beer, wine, and spirits, and finally, a walk across the covered bridge, which is photo-worthy in all seasons!
If you’re looking to add some special vintage touches to your loving home, Littleton has treasure destinations where you can seek them out. Are you a mid century modern fan? Just L Modern Antiques is filled to the brim with everything from furniture and glassware to funky art! Coming at you next is the Purple Peacock where you can find antique and vintage items from 100+ dealers! What are you waiting for?
Littleton has a fascinating history and what better place to learn about it than The Littleton Historical Society?
The TripAdvisor reviews speak for themselves:

The Museum also provides programs on Littleton area history. You gotta visit.”
As you can tell, this is an intimate space with proprietary artifacts that aren’t available elsewhere. Now that’s what we call date-worthy!
Littleton is home to Lahout’s, which is America’s oldest ski shop and that’s just the kind of place to go if you want to prepare for a ski date. Start there and then hit the nearby slopes of Cannon Mountain or Mt. Eustis together!
The Kilburn Crags Hiking Trail is a local and visitor favorite because of the view at the 1,300-foot top. It’s a relatively easy hike, but the overlook is simply phenomenal. Hikers come year round to enjoy its majesty.
Activity goals often peak in January when New Year’s resolutions are trending, but why not extend your commitment to February by getting to know yourself and your partner better through wellness? One Littleton option where you can do just that is the Root to Bloom Wellness Space inside The Tannery Marketplace. They have several different yoga flows to choose from including Morning Flow, Vinyasa Flow, Easy Flow, and Fierce and Feisty Flow. Choose your favorite and get active!
Not up for a physical date? No problem! There are activities that just extend to your fingers like classes at Sew Far North! That’s the place to be when it comes to learning a skill like quilting. Looking to learn sewing or quilting in a more intimate setting? Pick up a kit and turn your home into the setting for your duo date!
